Our Commitment

Our Chef Hand-picks the Ingredients At Yoshiya, our specialists physically inspects each ingredient as it is selected before they are served to you.

  1. Fresh Fish: We air-freight fresh fish from Japan, as well as fish caught right here, in Hawaii's waters. The fish caught in Hawaii rivals that of any sushi restaurant in Japan. Our best-seller, the lobster is brought in daily, kept in our livewell, and taken out as they are ordered.
  2. We use USDA Prime Rib-eye or New York cut. These meats are also sliced to use in our Sukiyaki and Shabu-shabu dishes.
  3. Vegetables are normally used to enhance the flavor of the main dish, but at Yoshiya, the greens are good enough to be served as a main dish, thanks to our General Manager, who personally goes to Chinatown daily to hand-pick only the freshest ingredient.

We are in Hawaii with 11 family members.  The aroma of real tatami mats made for a relaxing meal for this large group. We are totally satisfied, being able to have an authentic Japanese meal on tatami mats, which the entire group enjoyed!

We stop by every time we come to Hawaii.  There is an ample selection of sake, and the food is delicious.  The quality of the food is not the only thing, but we like the fact that despite the size of the restaurant, we feel very comfortable here.
